JOSEPH ABBAN
President
Joseph Abban serves as the President of VERSA Integrated Solutions Inc. He works closely with VERSA’s CEO and executive team to collectively provide strategic oversight and industry leading best practices. He and the CEO are responsible for the vision and leadership of the organization. He is directly responsible for capital formation, financial health of VERSA and overseeing contract and customer engagements. He has over 20 years of Design and Architecture experience in the network and Telecommunication space allowing the company to grow in this arena. He provides leadership for the continued development of the company’s innovative, robust, and secure information technology environment. Additionally, Joseph oversees a wide variety of strategic planning, governance, policy, resource allocation and business development activities.
Prior to starting VERSA, Joseph served as a Senior Network Engineer at Apptis, Inc., where he was responsible for designing and implementing the IP telephony solution for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s new White Oak campus which included 15 buildings and 11,000+ users. Joseph has also served as a Senior Enterprise Engineer for Avnet, Inc. where as a pre-sales engineer engaged in multiple customer solutions that have evolved today as a main stay in the Unified Communications industry. He has built enterprise-wide, standards-based network architecture for IP telephony drivers and created the building blocks for clients’ QoS/infrastructure, IP telephony strategies, Voice/unified messaging systems and system deployment guidelines. These experiences have helped him formulate his capability to analyze, assess and implement important decisions and develop innovative design and deployment strategies for VERSA’s customers.
Joseph attended Howard University in Washington DC and studied electrical engineering. He has held multiple Cisco certifications including: Cisco Certified Designed Professional (CCDP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Voice Specialist (CCVP) and Cisco Support Profession.
